Amy has played the violin since the age of three and has enjoyed
playing both as a soloist and in many orchestras throughout
her life. She began playing professionally at the age of
sixteen soloing soloist at the Osmond Family Theater in Branson,
Missouri. In 1993, she was voted
“Female Newcomer of the Year” at the All American Music Awards in
Branson. She has also performed throughout the country including Dollywood and
the Grand Palace. Amy has performed on several television programs including “Good
Morning America,” “Breakfast Time” (Fax FX Cable Network), “America’s
Talking,” “Queen” (Lifetime Cable Network), the “Eugene
Gilesnik Show,” the America’s Junior Miss telecast on NBC (1994)
and TNN (1995, 1996), and others. She has also been featured in People Magazine
and in newspapers such as USA Today. Being part of an orchestra has also been
an enjoyable part of Amy’s musical experience. She was concertmaster of
the BYU Symphony Orchestra and a first violin in the BYU Philharmonic Orchestra.
She has soloed with the Utah Valley Symphony and was later a member of the orchestra.
She has also performed in the pit orchestras of numerous musicals.
